When I first saw the latest Holidays catalog, "If the Broom Fits" was my favorite stamp set. It just made me smile! I have lots of friends who will be receiving this "greeting" from me in the next few weeks! I made this card for the 2nd Halloween round of card making at the nursing home yesterday.

Happy Scenes 3 x 3's

I made some little notecards using the Happy Scenes stamp set. I love little 3 x 3 cards. You know, Stampin' Up! sells the envelopes that fit the mini cards. They are perfect to add to your gift bags or wrapped presents. Or to drop into a Stampin' Up! bag to says thanks!

They all were stamped with Happy Scenes but the "thank you and very merry" came from a retired set, Short and Sweet.
The colored cardstock is cut 3" x 6" and scored (or folded) at 3". The white cardstock is cut 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" for the outside and inside of the card. And that's it!

Spooky from Among the Branches

This was my Friday card for the nursing home last week. It was October and we are going to have a month long Halloween celebration for our card making.  I used the spooky stamp from the Among the Branches stamp set. The ghost DSP is from the Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper. The Spider Web Doilies are a must have if you are making Halloween cards this year! Put them all together and you've got a really cute card. The residents loved it!

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Among the Branches, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cardstock - Tangelo Twist, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Happy Haunting DSP
Ink - Tangelo Twist, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Spider Web Doilies (cut in 1/2), 2 " circle punch, Big Shot, Circles Framelits dies

Lovely as a Tree with the Woodland Embosing Folder

Do you have a winter birthday on your calendar? This card would fit the bill. I think the Woodland embossing folder works nicely with Lovely as a Tree. Don't you?

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Lovely as a Tree, Petite Pairs
Cardstock - Mossy Meadow, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Ink - Mossy Meadow, Early Espresso
Accessories - Big Shot, Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Small and large oval punches, Baked Brown Sugar Thick Baker's Twine, Stampin' Dimensionals

Lovely as a Tree

Lovely as a Tree is an "oldie but goodie" stamp set. I had used all the stamps in the set except for the one I used to make today's card. I never knew quite what to do with it and I saw a card on Pinterest that  used sponge daubers to color the tree and wanted to try it.  I think it's very interesting and different. Use 3 different sponge daubers and 3 different inks and rub the daubers across your stamped image until you get the shades you like. Be careful so you don't get "circles from the daubers. Rub back and forth instead of daubing.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Lovely as a Tree, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cardstock - Mossy Meadow, Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Mossy Meadow, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry
Accessories - Big Shot, Ovals Framelits dies, Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Mossy Meadow ribbon, Sponge daubers, Stampin' Dimensionals, Glue Dots

Happy Scenes with Hearth and Home Thinlits Dies

Here's a great bundle from the Holiday catalog that has a lot of uses. There are several other stamp sets that you can use with the "window" thinlit.  This card measures 4 1/4" x 4 1/4". I like square cards and they mail in the same envelopes as the A2 size (5 1/2" x 4 1/4").

Stamp sets - Happy Scenes, Tiny Tags (retired)
Cardstock - Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink  - Memento Tuxedo Black, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craxe and Always Artichoke markers
Accessories - Big Shot, Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Hearth and Home Thinlits Dies, Stampin' Dimensionals, Linen Thread, Tiny Tag punch (retired)

Among the Branches with Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

This card was made using the bundle for Among the Branches and Woodland Embossing Folder. Bundles are the way to go if you want to save 15%! I used Crumb Cake cardstock with the embossing folder and then took a sponge dauber, inked up in Crumb Cake, and ran it over each tree to make them stand out a little more. It looks good without the sponging too. You'll have to see which way you like it best. I'm not real happy that fall is here (today is the first day of autumn) but I love the fall colors when stamping. Crazy about Cajun Craze!

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Among the Branches
Cardstock - Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla
Ink - Cajun Craze, Always Artichoke
Accessories - Big Shot, Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, 2" circle punch, Basic Pearls, Linen Thread, Stampin' Dimensionals

Watercolor Words

I made a card for my youngest granddaughter who just received her reading scores for the 3rd grade guarantee reading test and she hit it out of the ballpark! The "teacher-grandma" in me had to recognize her so she'd know how important it was, so I made her this cute little card.  It uses only the Watercolor Words stamp set and I found a piece of red polka dotted ribbon in my scrap ribbon basket so it helped me decide on what colors of cardstock to use.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Watercolor Words
Cardstock - Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White
Ink - Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight marker
Accessories - Ribbon, Stampin' Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals

Garden in Bloom in Blackberry Bliss

I made another card with Garden in Bloom on the Scalloped Tag Topper. The flower is stamped in Blackberry Bliss with Crushed Curry in the center. The DSP is Crushed Curry polka dots from the Regals Designer Series Paper Stack.  I just love the cute little bee!  I put him on the inside too!

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Garden in Bloom, Wetlands
Cardstock - Whisper White, Regals Designer Series Paper Stack (in Crushed Curry)
Ink - Blackberry Bliss, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Scalloped Tag Topper punch, 5/8" White Organza ribbon, Blackberry Bliss 3/8" stitched satin ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

English Garden Designer Series Paper

Today's card only has a stamped sentiment.  The rest is designer paper and cardstock.  The English Garden Designer Series Paper is really beautiful. I saw some cards that I really liked online and thought they were stamped with Garden in Bloom. Turns out it was the English Garden DSP and not stamped at all.  I used an old retired set for my Birthday Wishes but any sentiment will do.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Sincere Salutations (retired)
Cardstock - Soft Suede, English Garden Designer Series Paper
Ink - Night of Navy
Accessories - Large Oval punch, Soft Suede Taffeta Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' Sponge

Beautiful Bunch on a Brick Wall

For this card, I started with the Watercolor Wash stamp in Smoky Slate. Then I ran it through the Brick Wall 6 x 6 Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. It looks fabulous. Even easier than coloring in the grooves for the mortar look. The large flower is from Beautiful Bunch with the coordinating Fun Flower punch. I added a few flowers from Petite Petals (and it's coordinating punch with the same name) and mounted them with Stampin' Dimensionals over a leaf framelit using the Big Shot. Any type of leaf will do. Celebrate You is from Birthday Blossoms.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Watercolor Wash, Beautiful Bunch, Petite Petals, Birthday Blossoms
Cardstock - Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Always Artichoke
Ink - Rose Red, Smoky Slate
Accessories - Big Shot, Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing folder, Fun Flower, Petite Petals, and Large Oval punches, leaf framelit, Basic Rhinestones, Stampin' Dimensionals

Birthday Blossoms

I'm still not stamping much, this "house selling" is really cramping my style! No offers yet. :(  But I have made a few things for my stamp club, workshop, and nursing home visits. This card uses a new stamp set called Birthday Blossoms.  The sentiments are great and it's very simple to make an elaborate looking card with some easy stamping and the coordinating Pansy punch. It's one of the first stamp sets in the 2015 catalog on p 8. Check it out.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Birthday Blossoms
Cardstock - Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White
Ink - Wisteria Wonder, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz
Accessories - Pansy punch, Spring Flowers Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' Sponge

The leaves are stamped directly on the paper and the flowers are punched with the Pansy punch and popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals

Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

Stampin' Up! has added some new embossing folders to their catalog and 2 of them are 6 x 6 folders. They fit the Big Shot but they won't go in a Cuddlebug or the Texture Boutique machine that Stampin' Up! recently retired. It makes a great background and for this card I used a white Chalk Marker and ran it between the grooves to look like mortar and to show off the embossing a little better. You can also use the Signo Gel pen. The flower set that I used was Petal Potpourri from the Occasions catalog which is not longer available but the Flower Medallion punch still is available. The Banner Triple punch works great for making banners whether you want to layer them or not. No more guessing where the middle is or cutting straight.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Petal Potpourri, Sincere Salutations (just use any good sentiment that you have :)  )
Cardstock - Blackberry Bliss, Smoky Slate, Whisper White
Ink - Blackberry Bliss, Crushed Curry
Accessories - Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Triple Banner punch, Flower Medallion punch, Stampin'  Dimensionals, White Stampin' Chalk Marker

Watercolor Wings with Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper

I love Black and White or Black and Vanilla! The Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper is beautiful and I paired it with the Watercolor Wings stamp set. I used Smoky Slate and Black ink on the butterfly. The base for the butterfly I stamped off with Smoky Slate, the second step I stamped with Smoky Slate full strength. The third step I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black. It's lovely! The two cards I made use the flip side of the sheet of DSP. At my card club, the striped was the favored side. Which one do you like best?

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Watercolor Wings, Birthday Blossoms (for the greeting)
Cardstock - Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Timeless Elegance DSP
Ink - Smoky Slate, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Bold Butterfly Framelits, Big Shot, Extra-Large Oval punch, Basic Rhinestones, Stampin' Dimensionals

Watercolor Wings and Bold Butterfly Framelits

Butterflies and greeting cards are the perfect match and this new Watercolor Wings stamp set is a beauty. You can put all kinds of color combinations together to get just the look you want. I used Soft Sky and Pool Party for this card and it's just soft and subtle. You can go quite bold if you wish! This card was for my Friday nursing home project so I wanted to keep it as simple as possible.
Supplies:
Stamp sets - Watercolor Wings
Cardstock - Pool Party, Whisper White
Ink - Soft Sky, Pool Party
Accessories - Bold Butterfly Framelits, Big Shot, Spring Flowers Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Tea Lace Doilies, Large oval punch, Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals

Garden in Bloom

Things are really up in the air at my house these days.  We are moving. We bought a lot just up the road from where we are now and we are going to build a new home there. Our present home is on the market and I have everything in place for a showing at any time. (What a pain!) Therefore, my stamp room has been reorganized, partially stored away, and cleaned. I have been reluctant to even go in there and stamp. As you know, it doesn't take much to mess things up. But I have been doing a few things and working on the cards for a card club so thought I'd take advantage of those cards to post on my blog.

This card features the stamp set Garden in Bloom and the new Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack. Both are new items in the 2015-2016 catalog. I used Delightful Dijon and Mint Macaron ink and the luxurious new 1" Dotted Lace Trim in Delightful Dijon. I cased this card from Stampin' Up's Stamper's Showcase. It was a card posted by Linda van Wely-Zwolle. It's got a funky cut piece on the front that I just scissor cut. Start with a 5 1/4" x 4" piece and position it on the card front. Then just trim away the part that is hanging over. Make sense?

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Garden in Bloom
Cardstock - Basic Black, Whisper White, Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron
Accessories - Delightful Dijon 1" Dotted Lace Trim

Sprinkles of Life Ice Cream

Here's another fun card using the Sprinkles of Life stamp set.  I actually used this card with my nursing home residents and at a card making class and it was a big hit at both places.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Sprinkles of Life
Cardstock - Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Strawberry Slush (retired), Real Red
Ink - Chocolate Chip, Soft Suede, Strawberry Slush
Accessories - Big Shot, Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder, Tree Builder punch, 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" circle punches, Stampin' Dimensionals

Sprinkles of Life Cupcake

I love the new stamp set Sprinkles of Life. Be sure you don't miss it. It's on the inside of the back cover -  p 189. It's the Ronald McDonald House set for this year. For every stamp set sold, Stampin' Up! donates $3.00 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. I think they are going to be donating a lot of money this year because it's one of my favorite sets in the new catalog and I think it will be a favorite of a lot of others! Check out the Tree Builder Punch that coordinates with the set. I used the Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper on my card. Only 2 days left to order it from the Occasions catalog! This is a square card measuring 4 1/4" x 4 1/4". That way the DSP can be cut 4" x 4" and you can get 9 cards out of one sheet! Just use your regular size envelope. It will just be a little big.

Sorry - the cards a little tilted!!

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Sprinkles of Life
Cardstock - Night of Navy, Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede, Whisper White, Birthday Bash Specialty DSP
Ink - Bermuda Bay, Chocolate Chip, Calypso Coral, Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight markers
Accessories - Circles Framelits, Bitty Banner Framelits, Big Shot, Tree Builder Punch, Stampin' Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals

You've Got This part III

Another peony from the You've Got This stamp set! This one I colored with my Calypso Coral Blendability markers. My light Calypso Coral was dried up so I see first hand that there was an issue with the quality, but I'm not returning mine for an exchange. I will continue to use them until they are all dry!

Supplies:
Stamp sets - You've Got This, A Dozen Thoughts
Cardstock - Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Crumb Cake, Calypso Coral and Old Olive Blendabilities
Accessories - Distressing tool, Stampin' Sponge, Baked Brown Sugar Thick Baker's Twine, Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals

You've Got This part II

Here's the flower from You've Got This colored with a Soft Sky Stampin' Write Marker.  I fussy cut it out and used dimensionals to pop it up. Pretty!

Supplies:
Stamp sets - You've Got This, Wetlands
Cardstock - Soft Sky, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Soft Sky, Soft Sky, Daffodil Delight, and Pear Pizzazz markers
Accessories - Large and Scallop Oval punches, Stampin' Dimensionals

You've Got This

You've got this is a new stamp set in the 2015 Stampin' Up! catalog. I went for a simple card for my first attempt using it. My next one will be colored and use the background stamp that goes with the set. I used some old Designer Paper for the newsprint background but you know you can use the pages from a book and get the same look.  I found an old hardback on my bookshelf that I didn't care anything about and I have torn the pages from that book and used them for a lot of projects.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - You've Got This, Wetlands
Cardstock - Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Newsprint DSP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Crumb Cake
Accessories - 1 3/4" circle punch, Baked Brown Sugar thick Baker's Twine, Stampin' Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals

Mini Treat Bags with Flower Seed Packets

I saw this idea on Sandi MacIver's blog and had to make some. They are so cute! I don't care about anyone planting the seeds, I just like the project! I got my packets of seeds at Wal Mart for 20 cents each. You can't buy candy for that! I used different colors from the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack because the print was subtle. I didn't want anything to clash with the pictures of the seeds on the packets. The center is cut out using the Deco Label Framelits Die.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Chalk Talk (for you stamp)
Cardstock - Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack, Whisper White
Ink - Any color to match your DSP
Accessories - Tiny Treat Framelits Dies, Deco Label Framelits Dies, Big Shot, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 3/8" Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon, Fast Fuse or Tombo Multi Adhesive to hold the bags shut.

I use a glue stronger than SNAIL to hold the treat bags together. It probably wouldn't matter with the Seed Packets, but for other things (like candy or a gift card) you would need the stronger bond.

Butterfly Basics and Strawberry Slush

Strawberry Slush is one of the In Colors that is retiring and I'm going to miss it.  It made a beautiful butterfly with the Thinlits Dies. I added a little thick baker's twine instead of a jewel and I like it! I'm happy to say that the Butterfly Basics and Thinlits made the new catalog.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Butterfly Basics (it's the only set I used)
Cardstock - Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, Strawberry Slush
Ink - Pear Pizzazz, Strawberry Slush, Crumb Cake
Accessories - Butterflies Thinlits Dies, Big Shot, Thick Baker's Twine, Stampin' Dimensionals, Glue Dots

From My Heart Birthday Card

From My Heart is one of the stamp sets that is retiring on June 2. I think that "The secret of life is enjoying the passing of time" is probably a pretty good philosophy. It gives credit for the quote to James Taylor. I wonder if it was a lyric from one of his songs. Anyone know? I guess that's the right James Taylor. Another card I made from this same set is one I posted on April 19, so you can look back and refresh your memory.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - From My Heart
Cardstock - Basic Black, Whisper White, Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack
Ink - Tuxedo Black Memento, Smoky Slate (for sponging)
Accessories -Apothecary Accents Framelits (also retiring on June 2), Big Shot, Tea Lace Doilies, Stampin' Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals

Love and Sympathy

The Love and Sympathy stamp set is retiring so I had to make at least one more card with it.  I also used the Apothecary Accents framelits (also retiring).  Wisteria Wonder is always a nice choice for a sympathy card. This pattern of Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack is also going away, though it will be replaced with new patterns. Can't wait to see them.  The new catalog is just on the horizon. I can order them on Tues. so I should have them a week or so after that!

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Love and Sympathy, Papillon Potpourri, Painted Petals (the dots)
Cardstock - Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White, Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack
Ink = Tuxedo Black Memento, Wisteria Wonder and Old Olive Stamp n Write markers, Wisteria and Pumpkin Pie Blendabilities
Accessories - Apothecary Accents Framelits, Big Shot, Bitty Butterfly punch, 3/8" Whisper White ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Project Life Journaling pen (to draw the antennae back on the butterflies)

Spring Flowers and Painted Petals

Daffodil Delight and Always Artichoke make a great color combination on today's car. The ribbon is from the free Sale-a-Bration accessory pack and it is so soft! It's great to work with. My Spring Flowers Textured Impressions Embossing Folder sure has gotten a workout this spring. This card is a CASE from Cindy Elam, fellow demonstrator.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Painted Petals, Sincere Salutations (retired)
Cardstock - Always Artichoke, Whisper White
Ink - Always Artichoke, Daffodil Delight
Accessories - Spring Flowers Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Daffodil Delight polyester ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

Rose Red Painted Petals

I haven't used Rose Red ink in ages, but I've pulled it out a couple of times in the last month to go with the Painted Blooms DSP. All of the paper in that package is just wonderful. I used a small piece as an accent for this card.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Painted Petals, Sincere Salutations (retired)
Cardstock - Rose Red, Whisper White, Painted Blooms DSP
Ink - Rose Red, Old Olive
Accessories - Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Large Oval and Scalloped Oval punches, 3/8" White taffeta ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

Celebrate Today with Hot Air Balloons

Look at these cute hot air balloons! They were made with the Celebrate Today stamp set from the Occasions catalog. There's lots of texture on this card and it really pops in person. It could be used for a child or an adult, a male or a female. It's just fun! This card was CASED from Dianne Sisneros on Pinterest.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Celebrate Today
Cardstock - Night of Navy, Tangelo Twist, Whisper White, Gold Foil sheets
Ink - Night of Navy, Tangelo Twist
Accessories - Balloon Framelits Dies, Big Shot, Confetti Stars Border Punch, Tombo Multi Adhesive

Painted Petals Thinking of You

Another card made with the Painted Petals stamp set.  I made three more cards this week with this stamp set. It's so versatile and easy to adapt to any layout. It's probably the most useful set in the Occasions catalog.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Painted Petals, Wetlands
Cardstock - Soft Sky, Whisper White
Ink - Soft Sky, Pear Pizzazz, Tuxedo Black Memento
Accessories - Spring Flowers Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Ovals Collection Framelits, Big Shot, Thick Bakers Twine, Stampin' Dimensionals

Just Kidding Again

Here's another card from your 110 lb. friend! This card is much cuter in person. It didn't really photograph well.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Just Kidding
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Cardstock - Whisper Whie, Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack (used the Blushing Bride paper), Rose Red (hearts)
Accessories - Confetti Heart Punch, Paper Snips, Thin line Black Marker (I used the Project Life Journaling Pen) Basic Rhinestones, Tombo Adhesive

I just used scissors to cut the piece of Blushing Bride DSP. I started with a piece 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and took some off the left side and the bottom at an angle for both. Then I just drew a line with the black marker, not trying to make it straight!! The lady on the couch is fussy cut with my Paper Snips after I colored her and just glued her to the card with Tombo Adhesive. It's a really interesting layout I found on Pinterest. You could do any color combo.

From My Heart Teapot

Gwen, one of my hostesses over the weekend, requested a card with a teapot on it. I used the stamp set From My Heart to fulfill her request and I was quite pleased with the result.  I CASED it from a card I found on Pinterest but don't know to whom the original credit goes.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - From My Heart
Cardstock - Basic Black, Whisper White, Back to Black Designer Series Paper
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Tea Lace Paper Doilies, Scalloped Tag Topper punch, 2" circle punch, 5/8" Organza Ribbon, paper snips, Stampin' Dimensionals

I stamped the teapot/friendship stamp and punched it out with the 2" circle punch. Then I stamped it again on a piece of scrap and "fussy cut" the friendship banner out and used dimensionals to attach it over the original stamped friendship (that had it's tails cut off with the 2" punch)

Sheltering Tree in the Spring

This is my card for the nursing home this week.  Though it doesn't have a lot of pieces for them to put together, the "awesomeness" of the card makes up for it. Do you get that I like this card a lot?!?
I made the Hello spring tag on the computer -  it's not a stamp. I sure hope Sheltering Tree makes it into the new catalog. I don't want it to go away when this Occasions catalog expires June 2.  The new catalog is right around the corner. The retirement list comes out next week. Exciting!

I love the beautiful trees and spring flowers this time of year and wanted to capture it in my card this week.  I wish the "warm" spring weather would get here and stay!!

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Sheltering Tree
Cardstock - Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack
Ink - Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz, Real Red, Pacific Point, Memento Tuxedo Black, Rose Coral of the Color Box Chalk Inkpad
Accessories - Scallop Edge Border Punch, Small Oval Punch, 3/8" White taffeta ribbon, Stampin' Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals

I tried the Pink Pirouette ink and it wasn't quite dark enough. I bought one color of the new Color Box Chalk Inkpads in Rose Coral and hadn't tried it yet, so I thought I'd check it out. It's made to work on dark colors (like a chalkboard) but it worked great on my Whisper White.

More Just Kidding

Oh boy, is this stamp set fun!! I used a different sentiment this time.  I have to agree, it is a stupid system !!  Used the Back to Black Designer Series Paper for this one and accented in Real Red.  Took me back to my teaching days in West Carrollton - the Pirate's colors are red and black.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Just Kidding
Cardstock - Basic Black, Whisper White, Back to Black Designer Series Paper, Real Red
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Stampin' Write Markers
Accessories - Petite Petals Punch, Basic Pearls, Painted Blooms Thick Baker's Twine (white)

I did use the Nude Blendabilities Pen for the skin color but the rest of the markers are the Stampin' Write markers.  I sure hope they come up with a replacement for the failed Blendabilites, as I sure did enjoy using them.

Just Kidding

Just Kidding is a new photopolymer stamp set available from Stampin' Up! I took the example from Stampin' Up! and cased it. It's a really funny set. I can't wait to send this card to a friend!!

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Just Kidding
Cardstock - Whisper White, Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack, Silver Glimmer Paper
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Stampin' Write Markers,
Accessories - Confetti Heart Border Punch, Painted Blooms cotton twine (white)

Painted Tulips

I used the tulips from the Painted Petals stamp set to make the card for my nursing home project for tomorrow. It's quite simple on purpose but I love the brightness of the Pacific Point ink and cardstock.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Painted Petals, Papillion Potpourri, A Dozen Thoughts
Cardstock - Pacific Point, Whisper White
Ink - Pacific Point, Wild Wasabi
Accessories - 2 1/2" circle punch, Large Polka Dot Textured Impressions Embossing folder, Big Shot, Small Oval Punch, Bitty Butterfly punch, 3/8" White Taffeta Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones, Stampin' Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals, Glue Dots

Painted Petals Thank You

I just love everything about this stamp set!! And it coordinates nicely with the Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper. Apparently some of the early photopolymer sets of Painted Petals had 18 stamps in them instead of 13.  I made this card with some demonstrator friends (and this card is CASED from Danielle Stackhouse) and this particular set had the 18 stamps. My set does not and it doesn't have the small cluster of flowers used here but I'm sure you can adapt if yours is a set of 13 also.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Painted Petals
Cardstock - Soft Sky, Whisper White, Painted Blooms DSP
Ink - Soft Sky, Pear Pizzazz (or Wild Wasabi), So Saffron, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Ovals Collection Thinlits, Big Shot, Spring Flowers Textured Impressions Embossing Folder,Wild Wasabi thick bakers twine from the Painted Blooms collection, Basic Pearls, Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals

I think my favorite thing about this card is the line of So Saffron dots along the bottom of the oval. I wouldn't have thought to do that myself and it really sets the card off.

Balloon Bash

I was busy with getting ready for our family Easter gathering and I've been reorganizing my stamp room. The walk in closet was a mess and I tackled it yesterday and today. I'm happy to say I can walk in it and not risk tripping and there are some empty spaces on the shelves. Mission accomplished! So back to stamping and posting.

Today's card is bright and cheery. I love the colors!! It would be a great card for any age or gender.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Balloon Bash, Express Yourself (retired Hostess), On Your Birthday (retired)
Cardstock - Coastal Cabana, Whisper White, Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper
Ink - Coastal Cabana, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight

More Butterfly Basics

This card uses a lot of the stamps for a collage effect. I love collages. They are hard to mess up.  I made a book for my Artsy Book Club and used the same idea as this card  for an embellishment so I've included that too. Love the soft colors!!
Supplies:
Stamp sets - Butterfly Basics, Gorgeous Grunge
Cardstock - Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz
Ink - Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Butterfly Thinlits, Big Shot, Large Oval punch, Three Flower punch (retired) - Boho Blossoms punch will work too., Basic Pearls, Stampin' Dimensionals

The book I made for Artsy Book Club. It was quick and easy. :)
