Bird Builder Punch Valentine

Today's card is a complete CASE from Debbie Currier. It was my card for the ladies at the nursing home today and it was quite a hit!

Vintage Simply Sketched

I made another card using the Simply Sketched hostess set, this time giving it a vintage look. It's for my card club on Sat. that is making up for a "snow day" last week.

Cardstock - Crisp Cantaloupe,  Baked Brown Sugar, Whisper White

Accessories - 2 1/2" circle punch, Circles Framelits, Big Shot, Beautifully Baroque Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Elegant Butterfly punch, Tea Lace Paper Doilies, 5/8" Crochet Trim, Stampin' Sponge, Glue Dots, Basic Pearls

I sponged and sponged on this card with Baked Brown Sugar. I sponged the doily (very carefully), the edges of the Crisp Cantaloupe, the butterflies, AND the Crochet Trim! I watercolored the flowers using Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, and Daffodil Delight

This new stamp set is in the Occasions catalog and it's quite pretty.  Pairing it with Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper is a no brainer! The frame around the saying coordinates with the Decorative Label Punch. I did very little watercoloring on the flower, the stems and the yellow center, but you could watercolor the entire flower.

Petite Petals Sympathy

Petite Petals is a new stamp set in the Occasions catalog that has a new Petite Petals Punch that coordinates with it.  (If you are interested, be sure and check out the bundle, it will save you 15%.) They sure are pretty little things! I used the flower and stem from Love and Sympathy and just covered the flower with a Petite Petal. I worked great, and there are a few other "stems" in the catalog that will work as well. I used the Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder from the Holiday catalog, but it didn't make the carry over list, so it may be gone for good.  I wish it would be in the next catalog, though, because it's so pretty. I used the embossing folder with Primrose Petals Core'dinations cardstock and sanded it to get that worn look.  I love, love, love it!!!

Simply Sketched with Pistachio Pudding

Simply Sketched is a hostess set that I've had for a while but just never broke out and used, so when I saw a card by Debbie Currier that I wanted to CASE,  I used the Simply Sketched stamp set to make my card since I didn't have the flower set she used.  I watercolored the flowers using Crisp Cantaloupe (I squeezed the color onto the lid of my stamp pad and watercolored from there.) This is the card I used for my nursing home activity so I had to color 20 of them. I felt like I was making swaps!!

The new Hardwood stamp

Well..............I'm back from the warm Caribbean temps and waters, stamping in the deep freeze!  I want to go back!! But all my new stamps help warm me, so I tried out the new Hardwood background stamp.  It's really nice. I used Naturals Ivory cardstock with Early Espresso and I really like it. I've seen it used with all sorts of stamps and themes, but I went with Lovely as a Tree first. It will make a great masculine card.

Bootiful Occasions for winter

It is definitely a winter day around here and I wanted to create a winter card for my Friday nursing home project so I used the ladies snow boot from Bootiful Occasions and paired it with the Winter Frost Designer Series Paper Stack. I tried a couple of the patterns and they both worked great.
