Mother's Day card with Stippled Blossoms

I needed to make a Mother's Day card and I wanted to experiment with my Stippled Blossoms stamp set again. The ideas I had in my head just didn't pan out, but I do like the flowers I made. They aren't different or unusual, just pretty. I stamped the solid image in Wisteria Wonder and stamped off before putting it on the  card stock. Then the outline stamp is stamped full strength, also in Wisteria Wonder.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Stippled Blossoms, All Holidays (retired)
Card stock - Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White
Ink - Wisteria Wonder
Accessories - Apothecary Accents Framelit, Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Stampin' sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals

"Hoppy" Spring

I"m still playing with the Moving Forward stamp set and I wanted to use these cute little frogs. But I didn't know what sentiment to put with it.  I knew I wanted to use "hoppy" something, so I went with Hoppy Spring. I printed the words on the computer and punched it out with the word window punch. I can think of several people who would enjoy receiving this.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Moving Forward
Card stock - Gumball Green, Whisper White, Polka Dot Parade DSP (Daffodil Delight polka dots)
Ink - Gumball Green
Accessories - Word Window and Modern Label punch, Gumball Green 3/8" stitched satin ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' sponge

Moving Forward Birthday

I have some niece's and nephew's birthdays coming up and I don't really have any kid's cards, so I used the Moving Forward stamp set to create a couple of "cute" cards. This one is a CASE from Lynn Starzl.  I used the Cloudy Day and the Chevron embossing folders. The Adorning Accents edgelit made a good cut off for the grass. It sort of looks like a hill. I wonder what the little flags would look like colored?? I already had the card all made when I thought of it and I didn't want to ruin it.  I think I'll try coloring one to see. If it's good, I'll let you know.
The Moving Forward set is the Ronald McDonald House "Make a Difference" stamp set, and for every one sold, $3 is donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charity. The set is going to be retired on May 31, so if it's on your wish list or you're just now noticing it and would like to make it yours, order one before May 31.(It's on the inside of the back cover of the catalog, in case you've missed it - p 209.)

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Moving Forward
Card stock - Midnight Muse, Gumball Green, Whisper White
Ink - Midnight Muse
Accessories - Cloudy Day and Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Adorning Accents Edgelit and Bitty Banners Framelits, small piece of Midnight Muse 3/8" stitched satin ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

The "air ship" is cut out and placed on the clouds with lots of small pieces of Stampin' Dimensionals.

Thinking of you

My card today uses the flower from Blooming with Kindness. I used a sheet of DSP from Fan Fair that coordinated with Not Quite Navy card stock. I put a couple of strips of Very Vanilla on the top and bottom to make it stand out a little. The flower is stamped in Not Quite Navy and sponged a little in the middle with the same ink. The extra large oval punch is also sponged around the edges so I didn't have to mat it on another piece of card stock.  The two little basic rhinestones finish it off!

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Blooming with Kindness, Sincere Salutations (retired)
Card stock - Not Quite Navy, Very Vanilla, Fan Fair DSP
Ink - Not Quite Navy
Accessories - Extra large oval punch, Basic Rhinestones, Stampin ' sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals

Thank you in Wisteria Wonder

Is spring ever going to get here?  I went camping at Alum Creek for 3 days in the motor home while Steve and his brother went crappie fishing.  They caught a ton of fish, but the weather wasn't really great for me. I was just relaxing and reading, taking walks, etc., but it was a little on the chilly side!

This card is an emboss resist Wisteria Wonder card. It was my last Friday's nursing home card.  I didn't do a very good job at tearing along the bottom.  I should have gone a little narrower and all along the bottom, but oh well, too late! The first step on the top layer was to stamp En Francais on Whisper White card stock in Wisteria Wonder. Then I stamped Hello Doily in Whisper White craft ink and heat embossed it with White embossing powder. Then I sponged all over the card stock with Wisteria Wonder.  I distressed two of the layers with my distressing tool.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Hello Doily, En Francais, Because I Care for the thank you (reitred)
Card stock - Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White
Ink - Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White craft ink
Acccessories - Large oval and scallop oval punches, 3/8" Wisteria Wonder ruffled ribbon, Stampin' sponge, Stampin Dimensionals, Distressing tool

I am happy that Stampin' Up! is keeping Wisteria Wonder in the Subtles category!!

Banner Birthday

Today's card used the new photopolymer stamp set Designer Typeset.  What's a photopolymer stamp set you ask?  It's completely clear - not just a clear mount stamp set that is actually still rubber. It makes positioning a snap and they stick to the clear blocks like crazy!!

Here's some info about the stamp set. I know it's small!! I can't get it any bigger - sorry! (I'm such a loser at technology!!) Check it out on Stampin' Up's website!

And here's the card.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Designer Typeset (#132956 - $13.95), On Your Birthday (retired)
Card stock - Raspberry Ripple, Gumball Green, Summer Starfruit, Whisper White
Ink - Basic Black, Gumball Green, Markers - Raspberry Ripple, Gumball Green, Summer Starfruit
Accessories - Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Designer Label and 1 3/8" circle punches, Raspberry Ripple Stitched Satin Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones, Stampin' Dimensionals

April Showers

I am working on my card for the nursing home on Friday and wanted to do something "spring-y". I thought the Bootiful Occasions would be perfect for April.  I actually bought the stamp set for the witch's boot, but love the rain boot too.  I'd love to have a pair of those, but don't really have the occasion to wear them and they are kind of expensive just to have a novelty pair! Would love to plant flowers in a pair too, but too expensive for that too!!

This is the first time I've used the Cloudy Day Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  It's so cute!!

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Bootiful Occasions
Card stock - Marina Mist, Whisper White
Ink - Basic Black, Marina Mist marker
Accessories - Cloudy Day Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Large Oval and Scallop Oval punches,
3" and 3 1/2" Circle Originals Dies (for Big Shot)

I went with the "blue" card stock because of the clouds, but I also made one with Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango. Love it too!  Which one do I make for my ladies at the nursing home??

Field Flowers in Perfect Plum

I mixed the stamp sets of Field Flowers and French Foliage to make today's card. It is a CASE from Karenn Johnson.  I used Sahara Sand as my neutral instead of my "go to" color of Crumb Cake. Sahara Sand is softer and a better color for spring.  After using it a couple of times lately, I think I've neglected using it for too long!  Perfect Plum is another color I haven't used for a while, but it looks great on this card.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Field Flowers, French Foliage, A Round Array (from the 2013-14 catalog, but available now)
Card stock - Sahara Sand, Very Vanilla, Perfect Plum
Ink - Sahara Sand, Old Olive, Perfect Plum
Accessories - Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, 7/8" scallop circle punch, 1" circle punch, Very Vanilla Seam binding, Stampin' Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals
