Traveler Steamship

This card is a direct CASE from Michele Reynolds. Didn't she do an awesome job designing it?! I just fell in love with this card. The only thing I added were the rhinestones on the smoke stacks, which I saw somewhere else. This card incorporates the new In Color Lost Lagoon and a piece of designer paper from the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack (4 x 6 stack). The new metal buttons are really nice. That striped diagonal piece is a piece of Epic Day Washi Tape. I tried to use the "rainbow" from Work of Art like Michele did, but I couldn't get it right and I ended up sponging the water after masking the steam ship.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Traveler, Work of Art
Cardstock - Lost Lagoon, Basic Gray, Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack, Whisper White
Ink - Lost Lagoon, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Big Shot, Circles Framelits, 1 3/8" and 1 3/4" circle punches, Basic Metal buttons, Coastal Cabana thick baker's twine, Epic Day This and That Washi Tape, sponge dauber, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stamp-a-ma-jig (for the Just for you from Work of Art - my set is wood mount, not clear mount)

Traveler #2

I made another card from the Traveler stamp set. I used the World Map stamp set as the background. I sponged the background with some distress inks from another manufacturer, then stamped the locomotive with Memento Tuxedo Black. My friend Bev and her grandson enlightened me to the fact that this train is called a "steamy". I can see why.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Traveler, World Map, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cardstock - Basic black, Naturals White
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Crumb Cake
Accessories - Distressing tool, Small and Large Oval punches, Stampin' sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals

World Traveler

This card is my first attempt at using the new Traveler stamp set. I coordinated it with the World Map and That's the Ticket stamp sets.  Instead of using my usual Crumb Cake and other Neutral shades I tried using Smoky Slate and Midnight Muse together and I like the way it turned out.  I stamped the suitcase in Early Espresso for the luggage look. That's one of the new metal buttons and I took some white baker's twine and ran it through the Midnight Muse ink to get that color of twine.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Traveler, World Map, That's the Ticket
Cardstock - Midnight Muse, Smoky Slate, Whisper White
Ink - Midnight Muse, Smoky Slate, Basic Gray, Early Espresso
Accessories - Big Shot, Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Basic Metal Buttons, White Baker's Twine, Ticket punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' sponge

Off the Grid with Blendabilities and Flower Shop

Like the card says, you can never have too much happy, especially on a Friday. This was my nursing home card this week, inspired by Jackie Susnik. I used the new Rich Razzleberry Blendabilites to color the flower from Flower Shop. They are Soooo... Fabulous! They make anything you color look great! I used Off the Grid as a background. It may be on Stampin' Up's retired list but it certainly isn't on mine. The sentiment is from Yippee Skippee and some Basic Rhinestones were added for a little bling.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Off the Grid, Flower Shop, Yippee Skippee
Cardstock - Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Rich Razzleberry, Baked Brown Sugar, Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities
Accessories - Pansy Punch, Basic Rhinestones

Happy Watercolor with Natural Composition Specialty Paper

Retiring products sometimes bring out the best ideas! Linda Heller made a video for a card like this so I decided to CASE it. It uses the Natural Composition Specialty paper that was often overlooked in the catalog, I guess because it's one of those products that looks so much better in real life. The Delicate Details Lace Tape is also retiring and I received it free one time for a promotion from Stampin' Up! and I just never got around to using it. The Crisp Cantaloupe cord was from A Sale-a-Bration bundle so it too was free.  So I put it all to good use and made this card.

 Supplies:
Stamp sets - Happy Watercolor, Petite Pairs
Cardstock - Natural Composition Specialty Paper, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, Whsiper White, Delicate Details Lace Tape
Ink - Black Stazon, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, and Daffodil Delight (for water coloring)
Accessories - Big Shot, Banner Framelits, Crisp Cantaloupe Thick Bakers Twine

Clockworks Birthday

Here's a nice masculine birthday card for you. The Clockworks stamp set is another set on the retired list this year. It makes a great masculine card for all occasions.  I used Soft Suede with Naturals Ivory cardstock and did lots of distressing and sponging for the total effect.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Clockworks, Gorgeous Grunge, Wonderful Words (retired)
Cardstock - Naturals Ivory, Soft Suede
Ink - Soft Suede, Early Espresso
Accessories - 1 1/4" circle punch, Distressing tool, Stampin' Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals, Neutrals Candy Dots

The clock face is punched using the circle punch, the watch is "fussy cut" with my paper snips.

Sketched Birthday

Here's a fun birthday card that anyone would enjoy, young or old! Love those square cards, and the candles are perfect for it! I used the new Blendabilities markers on the cake and while I didn't really blend the colors, they were absolutely AWESOME to work with!!! They are alcohol based markers that don't streak and blend perfectly. (Our Stampin' Write markers are water based.) You have to use Memento Black ink for the new markers (it's in the new catalog - yea!)

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Sketched Birthday, Short and Sweet (retired)
Cardstock - Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple, Very Vanilla, Basic Birthday Designer Series Paper
Ink - Memento Black, Blendabilities markers (Neutrals, Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight and Coastal Cabana assortments)
Accessories - Gumball Green Stitched Satin ribbon, Stampin' Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals

Not a lot of frills or necessary accessories on this card so it's easy to duplicate.

I don't like that black peeking in from the top left corner, but it was such a good picture, I didn't want to start over :)

Mixing and Matching Flowers

I CASED this card from Valory Degree as shown on Stamper Dog's blog. I like how she mixed the flowers and wanted to give it a try. I used Strawberry Slush for my ink and think it looks bright and cheery. Each of the flowers has a coordinating punch so it made the work super easy!

Stamp sets - Mixed Bunch, Flower Shop, Petite Petals, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cardstock - Whisper White, Sahara Sand, Pistachio Pudding
Ink - Strawberry Slush
Accessories - Big Shot, Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Blossom punch, Pansy punch, Petite Petals punch, Sweetest Stems Embosslit (retired), Large and small oval punches, Basic Pearls, Stampin' Dimensionals, 3/8" Whisper White taffeta ribbon

More Summer Silhouettes

I found a card similar to this on Pinterest and wanted to CASE it. I'm not sure to whom the original honors go, so my apologies to the designer. I like a square card once in a while and adding a circle focal point looks very nice.  I used some of the other flowers from Summer Silhouettes this time, the first time they've had any ink on them!

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Summer Silhouettes, Bring on the Cake
Cardstock - Whisper White, Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper, Brights Designer paper stack
Ink - Pistachio Pudding, Old Olive, Strawberry Slush
Accessories - Big Shot, Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder,  Circles Framelits, Beautiful Wings Embosslits, Basic Pearls, Stampin' Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals

The actual card is a 4 1/4" x 4 1/4".  The Honeycomb embossed cardstock is 4" x 4".  The green DSP from Gingham Garden is 4" x 1 3/4". I used the #5 circle from the framelits collection.  I didn't use a die or punch on the banner at the bottom, I just snipped the ends.
