Dry Embossing with Framelits Heart Collection

Did you know that you could dry emboss with the new Framelits?  Instead of using the Framelit to cut the heart out, you can turn the heart over and place the cutting side up and you will dry emboss a heart on your cardstock. Just stamp your image on your cardstock, place your heart around your stamping, and you will have a raised heart! I will give you the directions for using this technique with your Big Shot.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Sprinkled Expressions (SAB)
Cardstock - Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Rose Red
Ink - Basic Gray, Pink Pirouette and Rose Red markers
Accessories - Framelits Hearts Collection, Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folders, Pink Pirouette 3/8" tafetta ribbon, Trinket Hearts, White Baker's twine

Can you see the embossed heart?  One set of directions I saw used 2 Texturz silicone rubber mats, but I only have 1, so I folded 3 pieces of cardstock (8 1/2 x 11) in half and stacked them on top of one another in place of one of the silicone mats.  Here's the sandwich I used:

Multipurpose platform Tab 2
3 stacked, folded pieces of cardstock
1 Texturz silicone rubber mat
cardstock to be embossed
Framelit w/ cutting side up
cutting plate

After running it through the Big Shot, you may have a shodow around your heart (another impression) or you may not.

Here is another option:

Multipurpose platform with no tab open
Texturz Impression pad
Texturz Silicone rubber pad
cardstock to be embossed
Framelit w cutting side up
cutting plate

After running it through the Big Shot, you will definitely have a shadow (another impression) around the heart.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me.
