Another Four Feathers card

Here's another card created with the Four Feathers stamp set. It was one of the cards we made at my Holiday Catalog Open House. I cased it from a card that I made at Candy Michaels' workshop, though I don't know to whom the credit goes. I came home and made a bunch so they're ready for sending.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Four Feathers, Good Greetings (free right now if you have a $300 workshop :) Gorgeous Grunge
Cardstock - Night of Navy, Hello Honey, Whisper White
Ink - Night of Navy, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon
Accessories - Gold Metallic Bakers Twine, Stampin' Dimensionals

I just cut the banner by hand, I didn't use the Big Shot or a punch.

For All Things

For All Things is a really nice fall set that covers the fall season and Thanksgiving. I added the little Autumn Wooden Elements leaf (found on p 46 of the Holiday catalog) and tied a little Linen Thread around the top. The round sequins are actually Gold Sequin Trim (found with the ribbons in the annual catalog p 206) that I cut and pulled apart, then attached with a tiny dot of Tombo Multi Adhesive (the green bottle of glue). A really simple card!

Supplies:
Stamp sets - For All Things
Cardstock - Mossy Meadow, Very Vanilla
Ink - Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey, Cajun Craze
Accessories - Autumn Wood Accents, Linen Thread, Gold Sequin Trim, Stampin' Sponge

Cutest Card Ever!

No excuses for being away so long and not posting. I've just been lazy. I've been stamping, just not posting. Today's card is a CASE from Stampin' Success, the magazine Stampin' Up! sends to it's demonstrators. It uses the stamp set Holiday Home with the coordinating Framelits Dies. I used the Ovals Collection Dies to make the hills and it may just be the cutest card I've ever made! I stamped the house on Crumb Cake and colored it with Blendabilities. Then I just lightly sponged over the Crumb Cake so it didn't have a stark, shiny look.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Holiday Home (a photopolymer set from the Holiday catalog, p.16)
Cardstock - Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist, Crumb Cake
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Hello Honey Tangelo Twist, Daffodil Delight and Crumb Cake Blendabilities
Accessories - Big Shot, Homemade Holiday Framelits, Ovals Collection Framelits, Distressed Dots and Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Baked Brown Sugar Thick Baker's Twine, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' Sponge

I made another Four Feathers card, using Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Early Espresso this time. They are a little more "feather colors" than the one I made earlier.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Four Feathers, Dictionary, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cardstock - Very Vanilla, Soft Suede
Ink - Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Early Espresso
Accessories - Big Shot, Feathers Framelits, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Linen Thread, Glue Dots, Stampin' Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals

Four Feathers

Yea! This is a new stamp set and framelit for the upcoming Holiday Catalog called Four Feathers. I'm hoping that my stamping friends on my mailing list will get a copy of the new catalog this week! Four feathers are exactly the four stamps that are in the set and I'm looking forward to finding lots of ways to use and arrange them.  And with the framelits, there's no cutting so it's quick!

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Four Feathers, Birthday Greeting (retired)
Cardstock - Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
Ink - Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party, Crushed Curry, Strawberry Slush
Accessories - Big Shot, Feathers Framelits Die, Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Linen Thread, Stampin' Dimensionals

The large feathers are just stamped on the Whisper White, The small feathers are stamped on Whisper White and cut out using the Feathers Framelits Die, then arranged together and popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I tied a little bow with Linen Thread and attached it with a rolled Glue Dot.

Another Bloom for You and World Traveler #2

I made a different version of the Bloom for You card I did earlier in the week. I searched for some retired DSP that would work well with the Bloom for You flowers to make for my nursing home project. Here is what the ladies made today.

I have been working on some cards for my Card Club group which meets tomorrow and I was trying to come up with some masculine cards. I went back to the World Map and Traveler sets and used the steam ship again. I really like the Smoky Slate and Midnight Muse together but I used up the last of my Midnight Muse on this card. I think it will look just as nice with Night of Navy (or Basic Black).

Supplies:
Stamp sets - World Map, Traveler, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cardstock - Midnight Muse (retired), Smoky Slate, Whisper White
Ink - Midnight Muse, Smoky Slate
Accessories - Big Shot, Circles Framelits, Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Small oval punch, Stampin' Sponge, Neutrals Candy Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals

Bloom with Hope

Today's card has a flower from Bloom with Hope stamped and colored with Blendabilities on a masked En Francais background. I took a piece of copy paper, the same size as the 5" x 3 3/4" cardstock and cut out an oval in the center, using the Ovals Framelits. I used this as a mask and placed it on the same sized cardstock. Then I stamped En Francais in Smoky Slate. I then stamped the flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them in with Blendabilities. You can use any color you like. I distressed the edges of the smaller cardstock and inked the edges with Smoky Slate. This would be an easy card to make for any occasion.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Bloom with Hope, Teeny Tiny Wishes, En Francais (retired)
Cardstock - Naturals White
Ink - Smoky Slate, Memento Tuxedo Black, Blendabilities (Calypso Coral or Cherry Cobbler are the two I used)
Accessories - Distressing tool, Very Vanilla Seam Binding, Small and large oval punches, Stampin' sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals -  Big Shot and Ovals Framelits for the mask

Bloom for You

Today's card uses the stamp set Bloom for You which coordinates with the punch Fun Flower. I used the same flower stamp and punch to make the leaves. I just stamped them in Mossy Meadow on Mossy Meadow cardstock and cut the petals off (from the middle) and glued them on the back of the flower. Lots of colors and lots of options using all your different designer papers (that I know you all have!! lots of !!).

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Bloom for You, Wetlands
Cardstock - Hello Honey, Whisper White, Baked Brown Sugar, Lullaby Designer Series Paper
Ink - Hello Honey, Mossy Meadow, Baked Brown Sugar
Accessories - Fun Flower punch, Big Shot, Circles Framelits, Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Basic Pearls, Linen Thread, Stampin' Dimensionals

Endless Birthday Wishes

Endless Birthday Wishes is a photopolymer stamp set from Stampin' Up! I stamped the cake and words on a punched Scalloped Tag Topper. The possibilities are endless, hence the name of the set I guess.:) I just love the new Lost Lagoon cardstock.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Endless Birthday Wishes
Cardstock - Lost Lagoon, Whisper White, Moonlight Designer Series paper stack
Ink - Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey, Memento Tuxedo Black, Coastal Cabana and Daffodil Delight Blendabilities (for coloring the cake)

Kinda Eclectic #2

I spent the day preparing for my nursing home project for tomorrow. I was inspired by a card by Ilina Crouse. I like the Marina Mist and it's not totally monochromatic, as the large butterfly is stamped in Midnight Muse (though it doesn't show up in the picture). I still think it needs a little more color so I'm going to make a few more cards and experiment with the colors, as I really like the card.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Kinda Eclectic
Cardstock - Marina Mist, Whisper White, First Edition DSP (retired)
Ink - Marina Mist, Midnight Muse
Accessories - Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly punches, 3/8" Whisper White Taffeta ribbon, Stampin' Sponge, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Glue Dots

Lattice for Perfect Petals and Little Leaves

This card has some lattice on it made with the Chevron Border Punch. It is a CASE from Deb Valder and if you're interested in seeing how the lattice is made you can Google it or find it on You Tube.  It's a really cool addition to a card with flowers.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Perfect Pennants, Petite Petals
Cardstock - Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White
Ink - Crisp Cantaloupe
Accessories - Big Shot, Arrows Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Banners Framelits, Chevron Border Punch, Petite Petals Punch, Little Leaves Sizzlits (retired), Crisp Cantaloupe Thick Baker's Twine, Pearl Basic Jewels, Stampin' Dimensionals, Glue Dots

Bloom with Hope

I used a design by Julie Gearinger for the card I made today. She always makes such beautiful cards and even though I didn't have the sets she used, I figured I could make a similar card with the hostess set, Bloom with Hope. I didn't have the right leaves without using the retired hostess set, Simply Sketched, so here it is. I hope you love it as much as I do!

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Bloom with Hope (hostess), Simply Sketched (retired hostess), A Dozen Thoughts
Cardstock - Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black,Soft Sky (for sponging), Blendabilites - Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Wisteria Wonder
Accessories - Big Shot, Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Paper Snips (the flower is cut out by hand and mounted with dimensionals) Stampin' Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals,

I used a retired Color Spritzer with a Soft Suede marker to add the specks on the sponged Soft Sky.

This is the same card using Cherry Cobbler cardstock and Blendabilities.

By the Tide

I was looking for a summer theme for my nursing home ladies today - something besides flowers - and I came up with a beach idea, which took me to By the Tide. Pool Party gave it a nice fresh look. Turns out there were a lot of steps and kind of confusing for the residents, but we got it finished and everyone was pleased.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - By the Tide, Off the Grid (retired) and any small sentiment you want to use
Cardstock - Whisper White, Pool Party, Subltles Designer Series Paper Stack
Ink - Pool Party, Memento Tuxedo Black, Crumb Cake
Accessories - Big Shot, Circle Framelits, 1" and 1 1/4" circle punches, Island Indigo Baker's Twine, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' Sponge

Using Hello Honey and Lost Lagoon

I wanted to use the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack with some of the new In Colors, so I decided on Hello Honey and Lost Lagoon. Lost Lagoon is my favorite. I used the flowers from the Summer Silhouettes stamp set and went with the "round" theme. It was the first time I tried the Large Polka Dot Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Summer Silhouettes, Endless Birthday Wishes
Cardstock - Hello Honey, Whisper White, Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack
Ink - Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Old Olive
Accessories - Big Shot, Large Polka Dot Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Circles Framelits, 3/8" Lost Lagoon Stitched Satin Ribbon, Stampin' sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals

Muslin vintage tea stained ribbon.

I am participating in a swap for my Artsy Book Club. We were supposed to tea stain or coffee stain strips of muslin, cotton, or lace and then stamp or decorate them for a vintage look. I used 1" strips of 100% cotton and tea stained them.  I boiled a pot of water and added about 12 - 14 tea bags and let it steep. Then I soaked the strips in the tea for about an hour. After they dried I took my Very Vintage jumbo wheel and wheeled some Walnut Stain distress ink on each one. I think they turned out pretty cool. I made the little tags using the Scallop Tag Topper punch. Can't wait to see what I get in return!

Beautiful Bunch

This card uses the stamp set Beautiful Bunch with the coordinating punch called Fun Flower. I paired the stamp set From My Heart with it. I saw a card similar to this on Pinterest. I couldn't find the right framelit to go with the saying from From My Heart so I cut it out with scissors (better known as "fussy cut").
Supplies:
Stamp sets - Beautiful Bunch, From My Heart
Cardstock - Elegant Eggplant, Crushed Curry, Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White
Ink - Elegant Eggplant
Accessories - Big Shot, Arrows Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Fun Flower Punch, Chevron Border Punch, Tea Lace Paper Doilies, Basic Pearls, Stampin' Dimensionals

Hot Diggity Dog

I know I've been away from my blog for quite a while. My apologies, but I went on a wonderful vacation with Lori and the girls to South Dakota and Wyoming (Yellowstone Nat'l Park). We really packed it in for 10 days and then I had a ton to do when I got home with our July 4th family picnic so near. So today, I finally got to play with some of my new stamp sets from the new catalog.  This card features Hot Diggity Dog and Just Sayin'. The idea for the window card came from Linda Heller. I just changed the stamp set because I love the dogs in this set! After I tied the thick Baked Brown Sugar Baker's Twine on, I wish I would have used something other than Sahara Sand on my scalloped piece, but I didn't want to redo the whole card. Love that thick baker's twine!!

(inside of card)

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Hot Diggity Dog, Just Sayin'
Cardstock - Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White, Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack, Sahara Sand
Ink - Early Espresso, Blackberry Bliss, Crushed Curry marker
Accessories - Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots Textuted Impressions Embossing Folder, Word Bubbles Framelits, Scallop Edge Border Punch, 1 3/4" circle punch, Thick Baked Brown Sugar Baker's Twine, Stampin' Dimensional

Blended Bloom

This little 3 x 3 notecard was one of the Make and Takes at my New Catalog Open House. I wanted everyone to be able to try the new Blendability Markers so they had their choice to make one from a variety of colors. They are so fun to work with! The color choices were Rich Razzleberry, Coastal Cabana, and Cherry Cobbler. They all had centers of Daffodil Delight

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Blended Bloom, Lots of Thanks
Cardstock - Rich Razzleberry, Coastal Cabana, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, and Blendability Markers (Rich Razzleberry, Cherry Cobbler, Coastal Cabana, and Daffodil Delight)

Blooming with Kindness and Midnight Muse

I pulled out a lot of retired product to make my card for the nursing home last Friday. I used the Fine Print DSP and Midnight Muse ink, cardstock, and ribbon. I even grabbed an old punch that made the photo corner - that really confused the residents. They weren't sure why I put it on the card. Actually, I didn't have a good reason other than I liked the way it looked and it balanced the card!

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Blooming with Kindness, Wetlands
Cardstock - Very Vanilla, Midnight Muse (retired), Fine Print DSP (retired)
Ink - Midnight Muse (retired)
Accessories - Big Shot, Banners Framelits, Photo Corner Punch (retired), Midnight Muse Stitched Satin Ribbon (retired), Stampin' Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals

Thinking Outside the Box

Thinking outside the box, that's something I'm not very good at. But there are so many clever stampers out there that can look at a stamp set or craft item and use it very creatively. Well, that's what happened with the Work of Art stamp set. It makes a great sand and sea background for Wetlands. No water coloring or special paper needed. Maybe you have some sandpipers (the birds) from an old Stampin' Up! set - dig it out and use it.  I'm not a bird person, but I like the sandpipers (on paper, anyway!) The greetings in the Wetlands set are the bomb! I use just the greetings more than I do the images.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Wetlands, Work of Art
Cardstock - Whisper White, Marina Mist
Ink - Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Large Oval punch,  Stampin' Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals

Vivid Vases

I used the new Blendabilities on this card. I'm not real good at it yet, but I'm working on it.  I'm determined to make some pretty cards with that true, blended, "water colored look". Some colors of Blendabilities are already in the new catalog and they are releasing more in stages, but you can't order them quite yet. The expected date for customers to order will be late June, early July.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Vivid Vases, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cardstock - Whisper White, Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Blendabilities (Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive)
Accessories - Big Shot, Distressed Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Stampin' sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals

Traveler Steamship

This card is a direct CASE from Michele Reynolds. Didn't she do an awesome job designing it?! I just fell in love with this card. The only thing I added were the rhinestones on the smoke stacks, which I saw somewhere else. This card incorporates the new In Color Lost Lagoon and a piece of designer paper from the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack (4 x 6 stack). The new metal buttons are really nice. That striped diagonal piece is a piece of Epic Day Washi Tape. I tried to use the "rainbow" from Work of Art like Michele did, but I couldn't get it right and I ended up sponging the water after masking the steam ship.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Traveler, Work of Art
Cardstock - Lost Lagoon, Basic Gray, Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack, Whisper White
Ink - Lost Lagoon, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Big Shot, Circles Framelits, 1 3/8" and 1 3/4" circle punches, Basic Metal buttons, Coastal Cabana thick baker's twine, Epic Day This and That Washi Tape, sponge dauber, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stamp-a-ma-jig (for the Just for you from Work of Art - my set is wood mount, not clear mount)

Traveler #2

I made another card from the Traveler stamp set. I used the World Map stamp set as the background. I sponged the background with some distress inks from another manufacturer, then stamped the locomotive with Memento Tuxedo Black. My friend Bev and her grandson enlightened me to the fact that this train is called a "steamy". I can see why.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Traveler, World Map, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cardstock - Basic black, Naturals White
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Crumb Cake
Accessories - Distressing tool, Small and Large Oval punches, Stampin' sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals

World Traveler

This card is my first attempt at using the new Traveler stamp set. I coordinated it with the World Map and That's the Ticket stamp sets.  Instead of using my usual Crumb Cake and other Neutral shades I tried using Smoky Slate and Midnight Muse together and I like the way it turned out.  I stamped the suitcase in Early Espresso for the luggage look. That's one of the new metal buttons and I took some white baker's twine and ran it through the Midnight Muse ink to get that color of twine.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Traveler, World Map, That's the Ticket
Cardstock - Midnight Muse, Smoky Slate, Whisper White
Ink - Midnight Muse, Smoky Slate, Basic Gray, Early Espresso
Accessories - Big Shot, Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Basic Metal Buttons, White Baker's Twine, Ticket punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' sponge

Off the Grid with Blendabilities and Flower Shop

Like the card says, you can never have too much happy, especially on a Friday. This was my nursing home card this week, inspired by Jackie Susnik. I used the new Rich Razzleberry Blendabilites to color the flower from Flower Shop. They are Soooo... Fabulous! They make anything you color look great! I used Off the Grid as a background. It may be on Stampin' Up's retired list but it certainly isn't on mine. The sentiment is from Yippee Skippee and some Basic Rhinestones were added for a little bling.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Off the Grid, Flower Shop, Yippee Skippee
Cardstock - Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Rich Razzleberry, Baked Brown Sugar, Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities
Accessories - Pansy Punch, Basic Rhinestones

Happy Watercolor with Natural Composition Specialty Paper

Retiring products sometimes bring out the best ideas! Linda Heller made a video for a card like this so I decided to CASE it. It uses the Natural Composition Specialty paper that was often overlooked in the catalog, I guess because it's one of those products that looks so much better in real life. The Delicate Details Lace Tape is also retiring and I received it free one time for a promotion from Stampin' Up! and I just never got around to using it. The Crisp Cantaloupe cord was from A Sale-a-Bration bundle so it too was free.  So I put it all to good use and made this card.

 Supplies:
Stamp sets - Happy Watercolor, Petite Pairs
Cardstock - Natural Composition Specialty Paper, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, Whsiper White, Delicate Details Lace Tape
Ink - Black Stazon, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, and Daffodil Delight (for water coloring)
Accessories - Big Shot, Banner Framelits, Crisp Cantaloupe Thick Bakers Twine

Clockworks Birthday

Here's a nice masculine birthday card for you. The Clockworks stamp set is another set on the retired list this year. It makes a great masculine card for all occasions.  I used Soft Suede with Naturals Ivory cardstock and did lots of distressing and sponging for the total effect.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Clockworks, Gorgeous Grunge, Wonderful Words (retired)
Cardstock - Naturals Ivory, Soft Suede
Ink - Soft Suede, Early Espresso
Accessories - 1 1/4" circle punch, Distressing tool, Stampin' Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals, Neutrals Candy Dots

The clock face is punched using the circle punch, the watch is "fussy cut" with my paper snips.

Sketched Birthday

Here's a fun birthday card that anyone would enjoy, young or old! Love those square cards, and the candles are perfect for it! I used the new Blendabilities markers on the cake and while I didn't really blend the colors, they were absolutely AWESOME to work with!!! They are alcohol based markers that don't streak and blend perfectly. (Our Stampin' Write markers are water based.) You have to use Memento Black ink for the new markers (it's in the new catalog - yea!)

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Sketched Birthday, Short and Sweet (retired)
Cardstock - Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple, Very Vanilla, Basic Birthday Designer Series Paper
Ink - Memento Black, Blendabilities markers (Neutrals, Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight and Coastal Cabana assortments)
Accessories - Gumball Green Stitched Satin ribbon, Stampin' Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals

Not a lot of frills or necessary accessories on this card so it's easy to duplicate.

I don't like that black peeking in from the top left corner, but it was such a good picture, I didn't want to start over :)

Mixing and Matching Flowers

I CASED this card from Valory Degree as shown on Stamper Dog's blog. I like how she mixed the flowers and wanted to give it a try. I used Strawberry Slush for my ink and think it looks bright and cheery. Each of the flowers has a coordinating punch so it made the work super easy!

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Mixed Bunch, Flower Shop, Petite Petals, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cardstock - Whisper White, Sahara Sand, Pistachio Pudding
Ink - Strawberry Slush
Accessories - Big Shot, Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Blossom punch, Pansy punch, Petite Petals punch, Sweetest Stems Embosslit (retired), Large and small oval punches, Basic Pearls, Stampin' Dimensionals, 3/8" Whisper White taffeta ribbon

More Summer Silhouettes

I found a card similar to this on Pinterest and wanted to CASE it. I'm not sure to whom the original honors go, so my apologies to the designer. I like a square card once in a while and adding a circle focal point looks very nice.  I used some of the other flowers from Summer Silhouettes this time, the first time they've had any ink on them!

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Summer Silhouettes, Bring on the Cake
Cardstock - Whisper White, Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper, Brights Designer paper stack
Ink - Pistachio Pudding, Old Olive, Strawberry Slush
Accessories - Big Shot, Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder,  Circles Framelits, Beautiful Wings Embosslits, Basic Pearls, Stampin' Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals

The actual card is a 4 1/4" x 4 1/4".  The Honeycomb embossed cardstock is 4" x 4".  The green DSP from Gingham Garden is 4" x 1 3/4". I used the #5 circle from the framelits collection.  I didn't use a die or punch on the banner at the bottom, I just snipped the ends.

Summer Silhouettes

I'm for anything with the word summer in it these days, but I really do like this stamp set. It's fresh!! I used Naturals White cardstock with Raspberry Ripple and it's quite nice. I CASED this card from Debbie Currier.

Stamp sets - Summer Silhouettes
Cardstock - Naturals White, Raspberry Ripple

Core'dinations Cardstock

I made this card with a competitor's embossing folder and an old Stampin' Up! set called Plane and Simple. I used the background from The Open Sea set and it all came together nicely! I used Early Espresso Core'dinations cardstock and actually made it before I saw that the Core'dinations cardsock was on the retired list. I ordered another pack of the Neutrals because I don't want to be without. If it's something you like or want to try, better order it soon.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Plane and Simple (retired), Loving Thoughts, The Open Sea
Cardstock - Naturals Ivory, Early Espresso Core'dinations
Ink - Early Espresso
Accessories - Big Shot, Sanding Block, Linen Thread, Stampin' Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals

Springtime Tulips

Boy I've been lazy when it comes to stamping! I haven't been in my stamp room for a week! I was so bad, I gave my granddaughters gift cards for Easter in the cardboard they came in - no Easter decorating at all! I actually felt guilty, but by that time I didn't have time to do anything about it! So I decided I'd better at least start getting ready for my Friday stamping (had last week off). I found a card by Renee Kohnke that I wanted to CASE. I thought the tulips in the circle were a nice touch. And I probably wouldn't have thought to put Rose Red and Pool Party together, but I like it! I made one with a sentiment and one with just butterflies. I'll use the one with the sentiment on Friday because the ladies at the nursing home don't think it's a real card without words!!

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Easter Blessings
Cardstock - Pool Party, Rose Red, Whisper White, Brights Designer Series Paper Stack
Ink - Black, Rose Red and Wild Wasabi markers
Accessories - Big Shot, Circles Framelits, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Basic Rhinestones, Rose Red taffeta ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

Cardstock - Crumb Cake, Naturals Ivory
Ink - Primrose Petals, Old Olive
Accessories - Big Shot, Chalk Talk Framelits, Arrows Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Neutrals Candy Dots, Crochet Trim, Stampin' Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals

If you don't have French Foliage, Gorgeous Grunge would work just as well.

Block stamping with Summer Silhouettes

I saw a card similar to this on Pinterest but I can't determine who actually created the card so I can give proper credit for the CASE. I really like it a lot. I used the D clear block by Stampin' Up! and inked it in Sahara Sand. Then I pressed it directly onto my Whisper White cardstock to get the block background behind the flowers. I placed a post it note right at the bottom of the stamped square so the stems wouldn't be below the background and stamped the flowers in black. I created a second one as a sympathy card. I think you could find lots of occasions for this card.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Summer Silhouettes, Sincere Salutations (retired)
Cardstock - Basic Black, Sahara Sand, Whisper White
Ink - Sahara Sand, Basic Black
Accessories - D stamping block, Black ribbon

Another Easter Bunny Punch Art Card

I made another Easter Bunny using punches for the card we'll be making on Friday at the nursing home.  This is just the back silhouette of the bunny. I used the 1" and the 1 3/8" circle punches and Extra Large Oval punch for the body and the ears are punched with the Blossom Petals Builder punch. I bought some pom poms from Hobby Lobby to use for the tail. Then I just threw on some springy flowers and butterflies - and it's pretty darn cute!

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Teeny Tiny Wishes, Papillon Potpourri
Cardstock - Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Crumb Cake, Wisteria Wonder
Ink - Wisteria Wonder, Crumb Cake
Accessories - Big Shot, Ovals Frame Collections die, 1" and 1 3/8" circle punches, Extra Large Oval punch, Blossom Petals Builder punch (retired), Bitty Butterfly punch, Small and Large oval punches, Trio Flower punch (retired), White Signo Gel penk Stampin' Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals

Petite Petals with Happy Watercolor

I saw a similar card to the one I made today on Pinterest. I took the "center" idea and ran with it to come up with a design of my own. This card has a lot of texture!! Love it!

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Petite Petals, Happy Watercolor, On Your Birthday (retired)
Cardstock - Very Vanilla, Pistachio Pudding, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake
Ink - Pistachio Pudding, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake
Accessories - Big Shot, Arrows Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Chevron Border Punch, Petite Petals Punch, 5/8" Natural Chevron Ribbon, Distressing Tool, Stampin' Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals, Basic Pearls

I did all the sponging with Crumb Cake ink. If you distress your cardstock after you sponge, be sure and touch up the sponging for the full effect.
