TSSC275

Today's card was a challenge at Technostamper's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.  Guess it's a good thing I didn't have to do it Monday at lunchtime, seeing as how it's Saturday already! It's another card using the Wetlands stamp set.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Wetlands
Cardstock - Whisper White, Crumb Cake
Ink - Crumb Cake, Summer Starfruit
Accessories - Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, 3/8" Crumb Cake Taffeta Ribbon, Stampin' Sponge

After embossing the Whisper White with the Woodgrain embossing folder, I lighlyt sponged over it with the Crumb Cake ink, being careful to get the ink on the raised part only, not down in the grooves.

MOJO305

Boy, how long has it been since I've participated in a challenge? I can't even remember, it's been so long. I made an entry for the Mojo Monday Challenge today. The one I entered is a variation of the actual challenge. I wanted to use the Pretty Print embossing folder and it wouldn't work vertically on my card so I had to change the layers quite a bit.  It still stretched me from my usual layouts and I like the finished card.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Stippled Blossoms, Wetlands (for the greeting)
Cardstock - Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White,  Venetian Romance DSP
Ink - Crisp Canaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, Basic Gray
Accessories - Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Extra Large Oval punch, 3/8" Whisper White Taffeta ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' Sponge

Here's another card using the same sketch.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Tags 4 You
Cardstock - Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Witches' Brew DSP
Ink - Black Stazon
Accessories - Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Label Bracket Punch, 3/8" Pumpkin Pie Taffeta Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

Framelit Storage

I was browsing on Stampin' Connection on our demo's website for Stampin' Up! when I came across a really cool way to store my framelits and edgelits for the Big Shot. I have to give credit to Wendi Walman, though I don't know if she was the originator of the idea. It was easy, pretty inexpensive, and it's handy as can be!! This is now in my stamp room!

Is that cool or what?  Steve made this one for me! It's a Poster Frame and 2 rolls of Magnetic strip with adhesive. As simple as that. He made it for me, but actually, I could have done it myself. Now all my framelits are at my fingertips so there's no looking through cases or envelopes to find the correct set. I am a happy girl!!!

Wetlands

This card is super simple and is made with the stamp set, Wetlands.  Those of you who know me personally, know that I don't like birds. Actually, I'm afraid of them, but these Sandpipers (at least I think that's what they are) don't scare me, and I think they make a really cool card.  This card would work for male or female. I used a water color brush with some watered down Marina Mist reinker to paint the water on the watercolor paper.  I tried doing it on Whisper White, but I couldn't get the streaked look.  Watercolor paper definitely works best.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Wetlands
Cardstock - Marina Mist, Baked Brown Sugar, watercolor paper
Ink - Sahara Sand, Soft Suede, Marina Mist
Accessories - Very Vanilla seam binding

Off the Grid Birthday

I'm still playing with all my new sets from the 2013-2014 catalog and I'm in need of some cards for my great nieces and nephews. I thought the Off the Grid and Gorgeous Grunge would be perfect for the preteens. This one will be for the girls with the Crisp Cantaloupe and Coastal Cabana.  I used a bit of Epic Day This and That Washi Tape.  I have a hard time making a card and not putting a ribbon on it, but I had to let it go for this card.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Off the Grid, Gorgeous Grunge, Label Love
Cardstock - Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White
Ink - Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana
Accessories - Artisan Label punch, Epic Day This and That Washi Tape, Stampin' Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals

I know some of you are turning up your nose at this card, but I think the kids will love it!

Truly Grateful

Today's card is a CASE from Sarah Fleming.  It uses the new stamp set Truly Grateful and the Designer Series Paper, Sweater Weather, both coming from the Holiday Catalog. Putting Pool Party with Crushed Curry is not something I would normally do, but they are two of the colors found in the Sweater Weather plaid pattern and it really turned out quite well.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Truly Grateful
Cardstock - Pool Party, Whisper White, Sweater Weather DSP
Ink - Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, Crushed Curry and Pool Party markers
Accessories - Big Shot, Ovals Framelits, Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Large Oval and Artisan Label punches, Stampin' sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals

Flower Shop

Have you seen the new flowers in the Flower Shop stamp set? It coordinates with the new Pansy punch. They are both in the 2013-2014 catalog. I also used the new embossing folder called Pretty Print (p 24 in the Holiday catalog). It made such a pretty card.

Supplies:
Stamp Sets - Flower Shop, Sweetly Framed (Hostess in 2013-14 catalog)
Cardstock = Whisper White, Pistachio Pudding, Always Artichoke,
Ink - Pistachio Pudding, Daffodil Delight, Crisp Cantaloupe
Accessories - Pansy Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Pretty Print and Fancy Fan Textured Impressions Embossing folders, Little Leaves Sizzlits, Small and Large Oval punches, 3/8" Whisper White Taffeta ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Sponge Dauber

I think the photo made the centers of the flower look pink, but they are a lovely shade of Crisp Cantaloupe! I sponged the Little Leaves with Pistachio Pudding ink and a sponge dauber. It darkened them up just enough that they'd show up on the Pistachio Pudding background.
