More Butterfly Basics

This card uses a lot of the stamps for a collage effect. I love collages. They are hard to mess up.  I made a book for my Artsy Book Club and used the same idea as this card  for an embellishment so I've included that too. Love the soft colors!!
Supplies:
Stamp sets - Butterfly Basics, Gorgeous Grunge
Cardstock - Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz
Ink - Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Butterfly Thinlits, Big Shot, Large Oval punch, Three Flower punch (retired) - Boho Blossoms punch will work too., Basic Pearls, Stampin' Dimensionals

The book I made for Artsy Book Club. It was quick and easy. :)

Butterfly Basics

Spring is surely coming. Trying to coax it on in, I'm posting a card made with Butterfly Basics and a Gold Foil butterfly made with the Butterfly Thinlits Die.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Butterfly Basics
Cardstock - Pear Pizzazz, Strawberry Slush, Whisper White, Gold Foil cardstock
Ink - Strawberry Slush, Pear Pizzazz
Accessories - Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Butterflies Thinlits, Big Shot, Mini Glue Dots

Have you tried using a couple of dryer sheets when using your intricate thinlits, like this butterfly? All the little pieces just pop right out. There's no poking and digging. If you're not sure what I mean, contact me or look it up on You Tube.

Easter Wishes

I went to the nursing home on Thursday this week because I am going to a scrapbooking expo tomorrow and I didn't want to disappoint the residents. We made another Easter card. Last week was kind of a "cute" card with a chocolate rabbit and pink flowers so I went for a "pretty" card this week. The Blessed Easter stamp set was out last year and is now retired. You could do the same thing with Love is Kindness (p 32) of the current Occasions catalog.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Blessed Easter
Cardstock - Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Brights Designer Series Paper Stack
Ink - Staz On ink pad, Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz Stampin' Write Markers
Accessories - 1 3/4" circle punch, Scalloped Edgelit, Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, 3/8" White taffeta ribbon, Basic Rhinestones, Stampin' Dimensionals

Painted Petals in Blackberry Bliss

The Painted Petals stamp set (p 19 in the Occasions catalog) is such a beautiful set. It looks like your petals are water colored, even though they are just stamped in one color.  I wouldn't have thought to put the Soft Sky accents in with the Blackberry Bliss but I saw someone else do it online and it really made the card! I even went with the Soft Sky twine around the ribbon.
Supplies:
Stamp sets - Painted Petals, Petite Pairs
Cardstock - Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White
Ink - Blackberry Bliss, Soft Sky, Old Olive
Accessories - Spring Flowers Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Scalloped Tag Topper punch, 5/8" Organza Ribbon, Soft Sky baker's twine from the Painted Blooms Cotton Twine pack (p37 in Occasions catalog)

St. Patrick's Day card

I still go to the nursing home on Friday and make cards with the residents. It's such a rewarding thing to do!! I wanted to make a St. Patrick's Day card and I only have one stamp for the occasion, the Lucky Shamrock stamp that retired years ago. So I took a card that I made from some of the Sale-a-Bration freebies, yes FREE, and took the design and turned it into a Wild Wasabi St. Patty's Day card. I'll show you 3 versions of the same card.

This one uses the Free Best Day Ever stamp set, the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper, and the Bes Year Ever Accessory Pack. I added 1/2 of a doilie and used the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder. The little heart is punched from the Confetti Heart Border Punch.  You can use whichever punches you have for the greeting. A super easy card!

Here's one a I made for a birthday card.

I used Gorgeous Grunge for the splotches this time and a birthday greeting. Everything else is pretty much the same.

And here's the St. Patrick's Day card for my favorite ladies!!

I've got everything cut, stamped, and punched. All they need is a glue stick.  I think they'll like it!

FREE is good!

The card I'm featuring today is a CASE from my fellow demonstrator Julie Good. We shared ideas at our Demo meeting. It's made with a lot of FREE product that you can earn during Sale-a-Bration. It's here until March 31 so there's still plenty of time for you to get yours. The free items are the Lotus Blossom stamp set and the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper. I used different ribbon and buttons but the free Best Year Ever Accessory Pack would be perfect for this card too.  I used the 3rd smallest banner from the Banner Framelits to make the banner.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Lotus Blossom
Cardstock - Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White, Best Year Ever DSP
Ink - Daffodil Delight, Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso Coral, Old Olive
Accessories - Banner Framelits, Big Shot, Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Daffodil Delight 1/2" seam binding, Old Olive Baker's Twine, Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons, Stampin' Dimensionals

"Hi Bev!" From the Herd

Long time, no see!! I've been away from my blog but am making a new commitment  to keep it current. Hope you'll join me again!

Today's card uses the stamp set from the Occasions catalog called From the Herd.  I colored it with  Stampin' Up's Blendability Markers but I've got sad news concerning those markers. There have been quality issues with the manufacturer and Stampin' Up announced today that it would no longer offer Blendabilities for sale. Hopefully they will come out with a new alcohol based marker soon but in the meantime, get out your Stampin' Write markers, colored pencils, and aqua painters (or just your watercolor brushes) and color away!! If you purchased Blendabilites and they are working fine (as mine are) continue to enjoy them.

Supplies:
Stamp sets - From the Herd
Cardstock - Soft Suede, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Word Bubbles Framelits, Big Shot, Blendabilities
