Washi Tape

Today's card is made with Washi Tape. What is Washi Tape? It is made in Japan and it feels like masking tape, though a little smoother. It is made of paper but is not really delicate, actually it is strong. It comes in patterns and designs in varying widths. Stampin' Up! now carries 2 different patterns of the tape in the 2013-2014 catalog. (p. 171 - Gingham Garden and Epic Day This and That)

Supplies:
Stamp sets - Word Play (retired)
Card stock - Melon Mambo, Whisper White
Ink - Mellon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo markers (splattered with the Color Spritzer Tool)
Accessories - Gingham Garden Washi Tape,  1/4" Daffodil Deligh tStitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Brights buttons, White Baker's Twine, Color Spritzer Tool

I know you can't see the splatters very well in the picture, but it really helps to have a little color on the Whisper White so it doesn't look so plain. Sponging or some other small bachground stamps would work. I can't wait to get Gorgeous Grunge. I have to wait until convention in July because that is one of the stamps that I will receive from SU for our card making sessions.  But it sure would have made some nice splatters for this card!
